Dialog voted ‘Telecom Service Provider of the Year’ by Sri Lankan consumers

The nation’s premier connectivity provider, Dialog Axiata PLC, announced that it was humbled by the honour bestowed upon it by Sri Lankan consumers who voted Dialog as the nation’s Telecom Services Brand, Internet Services Brand and Youth Brand of the Year at the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards 2014. Dialog emerged the most awarded brand at this year’s awards ceremony, which is of exceptional significance as the SLIM-Nielsen People’s Awards are based on the feedback and votes of Sri Lankan consumers.  “Every member of the Dialog family is immensely honoured by the trust bestowed upon our Brand by the people of Sri Lanka. We are unrelenting in our commitment and passion to deliver the best to our customers and the nation at large, and it is rewarding to know that we have delivered a positive impact on the lives of Sri Lankan citizens. The pursuit of excellence is a journey and our pledge is to strive to do better and to improve on the services we deliver, so as to ensure that Sri Lankan consumers from across all regions of our country receive and enjoy connectivity services which are on par with the best in the world,” said Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Director and Group Chief Executive of Dialog Axiata PLC. The People’s Awards program is hosted by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, with research conducted in association with Nielsen. The nominees and winners for the various categories are identified through research undertaken over a six-month period encompassing respondents from all nine provinces drawn from age segments in range of 15-60 years. The People’s Awards recognises brands and personalities that personally appeal to the people of the country.
