eMarketingEye’s BookingEye wins Silver at NBQSA 2018

eMarketingEye (www.emarketingeye.com), the award-winning Sri Lankan Digital Marketing Agency and a pioneer in the industry, bagged a Silver Award for their product ‘BookingEye’ in the ‘Tourism and Hospitality’ category at the 20th edition of the National Best Quality ICT Awards (NBQSA), Sri Lanka’s only national competition to evaluate ICT products developed locally.

BookingEye is a cutting-edge Hotel Booking Engine that was designed and developed by eMarketingEye to help hotels leverage the power of the internet as a low-cost distribution channel by selling room inventory directly to the customer. It is the most widely-used locally-developed hotel booking engine in Sri Lanka currently used by over 100 hotels, resorts and villas. The system connects to four international channel managers and is integrated with seven local and international payment gateways. 

The system is a web-based hotel reservations system that offers individual hotels and hotel chains the opportunity sell their rooms online, offering best available rates or customised special offers based on market demands. BookingEye allows hotels and resorts to sell direct to customers instead of using offline and online travel agents (OTAs) where the commissions are on the rise. The system also consists of an online invoicing system which is used by the call centre staff to collect payments online, which means the customer need not visit the hotel’s corporate office physically or go to a bank to make booking payments.

BookingEye consists of a host of unique features developed specifically for the Sri Lankan market enabling it to stand out among competitive products. The system provides the ability to book multiple offers, rooms with varying meal plans in one reservation while rates of meal plans can be compared in the same screen for multiple room types and offer types. It allows for different rates to be setup for locals (LKR) and foreigners (USD) for the same room type or offer and is widely used by the call centre staff to collect the payments online when the customer wants to book a hotel over the phone.

BookingEye also offers the feature to bring in ancillary revenue through Airport Pickup during the booking process and other value additions such as spa treatments and excursions, once the hotel booking is completed.
