EFutures, Amazon Web Services promote ‘A Journey to the Cloud’

An exclusive, Chief Technical Officer summit, ‘A Journey to the Cloud’ organised by EFutures in collaboration with Amazon Web Services was held on 8 July at the Hilton Hotel in Colombo with the participation of over 100 of Sri Lanka’s top CTOs.

The keynote speaker at the event was Muhunthan Canagey, Chief Executive Officer, Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka. He spoke on the concept of cloud and expressed his views on cloud in the context of Sri Lanka. He also said that Sri Lanka is moving ahead towards a digitised culture, now this is evolving fast. 

Other speakers were Vivek Gupta, Head partners and alliances India and SAARC and Shanil Fernando, Managing Director Sri Lanka and SVP Engineering, Leapset. 

Leapset’s Shanil Fernando spoke about how Leapset uses Amazon web services and how those services have benefitted his business. He shared his insights into why moving to cloud is a smart business strategy.

The event concluded with an interactive question and answer session which was moderated by the EFutures team.
