Epic 3-D Secure Solution wins Asia Pacific ICT Alliance award

Sri Lanka’s premier technology conglomerate synonymous for innovative ‘FinTech’ solutions, Epic Lanka, has once again proved its global technology dominance by clinching an award for its 3-D Secure Payer Authentication and Payment Authorisation Solution at the prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (AICTA).

Held in Taipei Taiwan, the APICTA Awards 2016 brought together participants from 19 countries competing in 17 categories. The APICTA awards ceremony dubbed as the “Grammy Awards” of the ICT Arena, which promotes and recognises excellence in Information Communication Technology (ICT), innovations and nurtures the development of such ICT solutions for the global market.

APICTA also aims to increase awareness in the community and assist in bridging the digital divide. By providing networking and product benchmarking opportunities to ICT innovators and entrepreneurs in the region, the program is designed to stimulate ICT innovation and creativity, promote economic and trade relations, facilitate technology transfer, and offer business matching opportunities via exposure to venture capitalists and investors.

Speaking further on this landmark achievement Group Director/Chief Executive Officer and the Architect of many award winning solutions of Epic Lanka Viraj Mudalige said: “I am extremely proud to receive this award from APICTA for the third time; our success at these awards is a result of constantly pushing the limits in achieving technology excellence, and dominance at Epic. He revealed that Nations Trust Bank and Sampath Bank were the first banks to use this innovative product from Epic in Sri Lanka.

Capping off a brilliant year of accolades and awards for Epic Lanka which won big at the NBQSA held in October in Sri Lanka and now at APICTA in Taipei “we are aligning ourselves for an even better 2017 with more innovative solutions, more accolades and awards” stated Mudalige.
