Etisalat Lanka continues commitment toward customer excellence

As a part of its on-going exercise in coverage and capacity expansion, Etisalat Lanka, together with ZTE Corporation, a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment and systems company, is set to complete 300 base stations across the island by end of June. th

The project is aimed at further strengthening island wide 3G connectivity as a part of Etisalat’s rapid expansion of network infrastructure. This is a further development to the investment committed by the company, where 200 Base Stations, inclusive of both 2G and 3G sites, spanning over eight districts were completed last year. 

Commenting on this initiative, Etisalat Lanka Chief Commercial Officer Yasser Aboul Amayem said: “We are committed to expanding Etisalat’s network capability to meet the ever-growing demand for data consumption and to welcome more suburban and rural based customers to the superior network for 3G. Additionally, we have earned the reputation of being the best network offering services in terms of ‘Really Really Fast Internet’ and ‘HD Voice’ making Etisalat the network of choice for smartphone users.”
