This year’s event held under the theme ‘You are the Key to Our Inspiration’ saw the participation of over 600 people, including main partners and staff. The annual event, one of the many ways in which Etisalat builds a relationship with its main partners, recognises and rewards the company’s top partners for their efforts in contributing towards Etisalat’s growth. All partners who have performed exceptionally well during the previous year are rewarded while their contributions and achievements are highlighted throughout the event. Etisalat Lanka also uses the event as a platform to inform its partners of upcoming plans and to receive feedback and insights on opportunities and challenges. Speaking at the ceremony, Director/CEO of Etisalat Lanka, Dumindra Ratnayaka, said: “Our partner network is important to us because they are the ones who take the best we have to offer to our customers. Their hard work and commitment have been vital in our journey to reach out to our customer base across the country. Recognising them and their contribution is one way to show how much we appreciate our partners and their service.” This year, 30 authorised partners competed for awards. The winners were selected by an elite panel of judges, after a detailed selection process that comprised of both qualitative and quantitative measures including key elements such as customer service, subscriber retention, subscriber quality and employee retention, among many others. The award categories included Best Customer Contract Management, Best in Sub-Dealer Channel Expansion, Best in Freelancer Channel Expansion, Best Dealer Sales Executive and Best Area Dealer Manager, and the main category – Best Partner Award – Large Scale and Medium Scale. Chief Sales Officer of Etisalat Lanka Sanjeewa Samarasinghe, who also addressed the convention, stated: “The achievements of our partners demonstrate the exceptional service provided to our customers. Therefore, we believe that it is important that these achievements are acknowledged in the best way possible. We are always committed to providing the very best service to our customers and as we grow, our service will only get better.” Etisalat has now converted its partner outlets to new flagship stores, which provide a touch and feel experience unique to the store, giving the partners a better chance to allow the consumer to interact with the latest technology that the company has to offer. With 70 flagship stores across the country, Etisalat provides its customers the opportunity for bill payments, VAS, reloads and cards, customer care, new prepaid and post-paid connections, phones and accessories.
