All ICT industry-related services such as training, information, advocacy and policy support, industry/business promotional and exhibition services will be extended by FITIS and its various chapters to Wayamba ICT Chapter members. Special projects and programs will also be organised for the benefit of members of the Wayamba ICT Chapter. Welcoming this initiative, Wayamba ICT Chapter President W. Wedisinghe stated: “The vision of the Wayamba ICT Chapter is to become the main initiative to promote and sustain regional ICT businesses in the Wayamba market and to generate development and enable exploitation of market opportunities within the ICT and multimedia business branches. Our main objective therefore is to support the elevation of competitiveness of its members and increase the profit and development of their businesses.” FITIS Chairman Thamarajah Suresh stated: “We firmly believe that this collaboration will make a contribution towards encouraging and facilitating closer relations between FITIS and the Wyamba Chamber of Commerce that will also greatly benefit the ICT industry and businesses in the Wayamba Region. We look forward to playing our part in creating a business-friendly regional environment for ICT and also assist through our initiatives to drawing new resources and investment to this region.”
