Reliability, agility and security are some of the key advantages a business gains by moving into the cloud. Cloud computing allows enterprises to get their applications up and running faster, with improved manageability and less maintenance, and enables IT to adjust resources to meet  ever evolving business demands.

Industry experts say that by 2015, all businesses will be in the cloud, in one form or the other due to the fast pace of growth, dynamic environmental changes and most importantly, the business returns it entails.

H-One Private Ltd., a Hirdaramani Group venture established in early 2008, has become a forerunner in providing customised IT Samath Fernando, CEO of H-One Private Ltdsolutions to leading enterprises in Sri Lanka. With a reputation for offering the most innovative technology solutions to their clients H-One has leading Sri Lankan blue-chips such as John Keells Holdings, Hayleys PLC, Brown & Company and the Capital Maharaja Group in their client portfolio.  The company, which is in the process of helping a number of Sri Lankan businesses to transition into the cloud with Microsoft Office 365, also offers services such as license selling, advisory services on licensing, infrastructure solutions and system integration with industry leading partners such as Microsoft, Kaspersky and Adobe. H-One has also gained a reputation for providing customised ERP solutions to leading organisations based on their expertise in Microsoft Dynamics.

H-One has made a significant impact in the IT industry within their short period of operations, and attributes its success to reliable service excellence and up-to-date innovative technology that it continues to offer clients. H-One is also among the few Microsoft partners that holds the competencies to deploying Microsoft Office 365 in Sri Lanka.

Speaking about their readiness on Microsoft Office 365, Samath Fernando, CEO of H-One Private Ltd. Said, “With Office 365, businesses of all sizes, big and small, can now access enterprise-ready business solutions with a predictable monthly or annual subscription, effectively removing the need for significant upfront investments in IT infrastructure and maintenance. Office 365 will be the driving force that will enable improved business productivity and collaboration while simultaneously boosting output.”

“Office 365 will provide companies the opportunity to reach new customer segments, provide innovative ways to grow revenue and accelerate sales cycles. The new software will be a complete paradigm shift in the way IT will operate in a business environment and even shift existing loci on how the CEO and CIO will approach IT related decisions in their companies.”

Highlighting some of their key achievements, he said that they had TKS Securities, the first Office 365 implementation in Microsoft’s SMB sector, up and running in just one day and that that their largest cloud deployment to date, for blue chip company John Keells, is currently underway.  As a Large Account Reseller partner and full-service vendor, H-One works closely with Microsoft to offer better prices, end-to-end advisory and services, as well as a host of value added services to its clients.

Imran Vilcassim, Director Enterprise Business of Microsoft Sri Lanka, commenting on their partnership with the company, said, “H-One has been a valued partner since its inception, as the IT arm of the Hirdaramani Group. They have shown a strong commitment to build their reputation as a reliable and trusted technology advisor to many local companies.

“They have invested in the right competencies and with their eagerness to acquire knowledge and expertise on latest technology, have been able to strengthen their position. In a highly competitive market, H-One is a good example of how an IT solution provider can grow their business by closely partnering with Microsoft and build local expertise to deliver world class solutions to our own enterprises.”

He added that Microsoft values the partnership with H-One, a company that effectively makes use of Microsoft’s expertise to strengthen their customer relationships through a novel market approach.

On expansion, Samath Fernando stated that they have made viable plans to expand into regional markets with the present infrastructure. “The group already has a presence in Bangladesh, Vietnam and Hong Kong, and there is no need to start anew as the infrastructure is already in place. The technical staff would be from Sri Lanka while local labour from each country would be used.

“We are also in the process of seeking out new partners with the same value systems as us to deliver specialised ERP solutions to our clients. They will bring in the expertise and the knowledge to deploy world class products implemented by the very best.”

When a customer chooses a business solution from H-One, they are not just investing in software – they are selecting a partner, a team that will see them through the entire process of planning, customisation, implementation, testing and support.

“Our portfolio of products have been carefully selected to ensure the latest technology, the best business logic and the right amount of flexibility to ensure the perfect fit for every client, every time,” added the CEO.
