Etisalat Lanka, a leading mobile telecommunication service provider, commissioned three new flagship stores at Malabe, Borella and Town Hall simultaneously, strengthening the company’s rapid growth and expansion drive.

Revamping and upgrading its existing sales and service access points, Etisalat transformed these centres to state-of-the-art flagship stores, to provide an innovative and comprehensive service to its rapidly growing customer base.

Commenting on the opening of the stores, Etisalat Lanka Chief Commercial Officer Robert Lee said, “The Etisalat Flagship Store is a refreshingly unique way for customers to interact with us and experience our innovative products and services. As always, the ambience in the flagship store has been specifically created to inspire customers, while they discover new technologies that add value to their mobile communication needs.” Noting that the Etisalat Flagship stores are focused on enhancing the customer experience Lee said, “We are the market leader in innovation. Combining this innovation with our wide network, we will elevate our customer experience to a new level through our Flagship Stores.”

By the end of April, the telco giant will open three more flagship stores in Ratnapura, Maharagama and Kiribathgoda. Under Etisalat’s ambitious expansion plan, 30 more centers will be transformed, growing its Flagship store network to over 60 stores across the island by 2014.

Additionally each Flagship store will host Etisalat’s signature Android Forums, where in-depth sessions on the Android operating system and capabilities are showcased to the public.

Commenting on the occasion, Etisalat Lanka Chief Sales Officer Sanjeewa Samarasinghe said: “Flagship stores are a new concept to Sri Lanka that provides customers the ‘one-stop-shop’ experience. They will deliver new experiences for customers to touch and feel the products and services of Etisalat, under one roof. Our trained sales and customer service staff are dedicated to delight customers at the flagship stores. Etisalat is a global brand and this concept will enable us to standardise the group’s world class services, offer convenience and introduce innovative products to customers. We also believe that a customer who experiences this world class service at the Flagship store will be a future brand ambassador for Etisalat.”

The Etisalat flagship stores feature an Experience Centre displaying cutting-edge products aimed at enhancing lifestyles and empowering individual mobile communication needs. The stores will also allow customers to experience these products first-hand, with useful insights from trained customer service personnel. They also include a customer care point where products and services can be purchased as well as a billing centre where bill payments can be made.
