For the first time in Sri Lanka the HP large format Flat Bed printer (HP FB 500) came to activation with Fly Ads (Pvt) Ltd., situated in Nawala Road Nugegoda recently, taking the initiative in making a profitable investment in the printing industry.

The machine was activated for the first time at an auspicious time with the presence of Fly Ads Ltd., Chairman/Managing Director L.B. Kusumsiri, Fly Ads Ltd., Director Pamila Asanka, PPS Group Hewlett-Packard, PSP Service, Sign and Display, GSB Atul Kumar, Ninehearts Imaging Ltd., Managing Director Chamika Godamanna, Business Development Manager Indika Adikari and the staff of Ninehearts Imaging Ltd.

It was a great success for Ninehearts and HP to penetrate the Sri Lankan market with its’ large format printers, while on the other hand it was a great investment for Fly Ads to acquire a HP Flat Bed printer with its numerous applications since they also possess a HP Latex 26500 digital printer.

The HP Flat Bed 500 printer has the ability to speed up the delivery of orders with its added value of loading media simultaneously. It gives the benefit of targeting new applications with quality results on virtually any rigid and flexible media. This is new to Sri Lanka since it has both versatility plus the quality assurance.

The many applications of this printer include: indoor and outdoor two and three-dimensional point of sale displays; event signage, tradeshow displays and theatrical props and backdrops. All benefit from low-glare UV ink; high quality, high-value fine art and interior decoration on a variety of materials; durable, low cost outdoor signage for real estate, political campaigns and commercial development, plus directional signage for restaurants, shopping malls, parks and attractions. With this successful implementation it is expected to have a great development in the printing industry,” an HP spokesperson said.
