Hutch Safari was a retailer promotion that was open to all Hutch retailers across the island from November 2012 to January 2013. More than fifteen retailers were eligible to tour Bangkok however only seven opted for it and the balance opted for a camcorder. The selected retailers took wing to Bangkok recently which encompassed airfare, accommodation, breakfast and spending money. The retailers were at leisure to spend the money on sightseeing, shopping or enjoying rides at Dream World or Ice World. Mohamed Fazeel from Akkaraipattu said: “It is good to have retailer schemes like this as we feel we are appreciated and we feel motivated to work towards a target. Also I am happy to see that Hutch has been a company that has kept its promises always. However the new scheme of Daily Cash is enjoyed more by us as we do not have to wait for months after the promotion to get our winnings since they are on a daily basis.”
Nalin Dharshana from Kelaniya stated: “This is my second trip to Bangkok with Hutch. I hope I will enjoy the trip even better than last time stated an elated Nalin. I plan to go sightseeing and buy gifts for my family with the allowance I have received from Hutch. Mohamed Fazeel and Gamini Wijerathna who were first time travellers were also extremely happy and excited and stated: “We are looking forward to our very first trip abroad and we are happy it is because of Hutch who has done everything possible to make our journey an enjoyable one.”
