IFS Applications has been ranked in the dominant zone for mixed mode manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) software by third-party analyst group Technology Evaluation Centers.

According to the report: “IFS Applications has four modules located in the Dominant Zone: Manufacturing Management, Inventory Management, Purchasing Management, and Quality Management. IFS Applications’ strength in these modules is due to its smartly designed and well balanced software and high support level in all four mentioned modules—an essential need for businesses of medium or larger size. Note that IFS Applications achieved a maximal functional focus score for the Quality Management module.”

IFS Applications is an enterprise suite of choice for companies in complex and demanding environments, including those running more than one manufacturing mode. IFS Applications easily supports multiple modes run in combination, including engineer-to-order (ETO), configure-to-order (CTO), make-to-stock (MTS) and make-to-order (MTO).

IFS Applications also fully supports companies that manufacture capital equipment and execute maintenance and service contracts after the sale. It also supports organisations that maintain inventory on customer sites or participate in demanding government mandated product delivery systems like earned value management (EVM) or performance based logistics (PBL).

“Multi mode manufacturers often have a hard time finding that one enterprise software suite that can handle all of their diverse needs,” IFS North America President and CEO Cindy Jaudon said.

“Our ability to meet the needs of companies running multiple modes, in multiple locations and with other complicating factors is a big part of what makes IFS and IFS Applications unique. As manufacturers change the way they do business, like adding a more advanced or demanding manufacturing mode, IFS Applications has the agility and flexibility to be easily reconfigured to meet their needs,” he added.

IFS South Asia Vice President Jayantha de Silva added that most Sri Lankan and the regional manufacturing companies run on Mixed Mode. In this context having a business solution or an ERP which accommodates it, such as IFS Applications, and it being implemented by Sri Lankan consultants is a great advantage for IFS in the region.

IFS already have many references in the region who adopts the mixed mode manufacturing. Through experience and exposure IFS is confident of offering a greater fit than any other in the market. “We are pleased to be recognised by many leading third party analysis such as Technology Evaluation Centers,” added de Silva.
