Infoserve, a subsidiary of PC House PLC (PCH) Group, introduces its unique Travel Itinerary service to the local market, following the launch of its Customised News Alerts service for corporates last year. This service will provide a customised travel plan to a choice of your favourite destination.

“With a record of over one million tourist arrivals, 2012 was a great year for Sri Lanka’s tourism industry. The industry’s target of attracting 2.5 million tourists by 2016 offers evidence of untapped potential for growth. All these factors have encouraged us to introduce our travel itinerary services to the local industry,” said Erandi Narangoda, Head of Operations, Infoserve Ltd. – the company behind the global brand ‘athandz’.

“This along with our research capabilities and lead generation services will help the local travel trade achieve their ambitious growth targets.”

The travel itinerary is distinct in terms of spanning into several aspects like: what to do on your holiday, where to stay, places to see, options for kids etc. It greatly aids anyone in deciding how to spend their entire vacation within their budget.

Meanwhile, athandz has seen another arising need for Customised News Alerts which can be targeted to individuals across all corporate verticals.

Through this the company aims to analyse local and foreign news sources, which are in the customer’s areas of interest, providing exhaustive highlights from related articles and stories in an easy-to- read format.

Through strong sales partnerships with Zellor AB and Innovation Nation in Sweden, athandz has gained wide spread acceptation for its services in the European markets. The company has also generated several new leads through its participation at last year’s Internet Discovery Day event held in Stockholm.

The company now intends to focus on the Sri Lankan market. Commenting on this, Narangoda added: “Though we are based out of Sri Lanka, our services have traditionally been more popular in European markets. We would now like to establish ourselves as a strong player in the local market. As part of this strategy, we have enrolled ourselves as a member of SLASSCOM and are increasing our level of involvement with the local ICT/KPO/BPO industry.”

athandz began operations in 2003, and was the local pioneer in offering Internet research services, coming under the banner of Infoserve in 2008. Its internet-based information-gathering expertise increases client profitability by reducing the costs associated with establishing, operating and maintaining an internal research department within the organisation.
