Her connections with the top venture capitalists, super angels, and investors from Silicon Valley to the international stage makes her one of the world’s most important people for bankers, investors, technology heads and entrepreneurs. Wang will also give an overview of the current trends in investment and a forecast of what’s coming next from a US and Asian perspective.

Among the topics to be addressed in Colombo are the Silicon Valley Eco System, Fundraising and Incubation models, Selling and Pitching in the Silicon Valley, developing world class entrepreneurs and the technology outlook in the Silicon Valley.

Wang’s considerable experience in starting successful ICT and marketing companies, and her insights into business development, marketing, sales and strategy for mobile, web services and ICT organisations, will also become valuable lessons for Sri Lankan decision makers.

Last month, she led an all day workshop for the Amsterdam Centre for Entrepreneurship in Holland. Also this year, Wang was a keynote speaker at the Open Doors Conference in the Ukraine sponsored by the Malaysia Multimedia Development Corporation and the Kreative Asia Conference in Kuala Lumpur. In 2011, she took the stage at Digital Directions, Australia’s leading conference of international digital thought leaders.

In addition to her MIT/StanfordVLAB board position, Wang is currently the managing partner at MG-Team, an international strategic marketing and business development firm, co-chair of the Location Based Services special interest group at Wireless Communications Alliance. In the 1990’s, she started Pacific Internet in Singapore (IPO on NASDAQ in 1999).
