iOM, a regional leader in IT support and services, announced its appointment as a partner for Sage 300 ERP. Sage 300 ERP (formerly known as Sage ERP Accpac) is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software system that serves small and medium-sized businesses in professional services, financial services, the public sector, and other markets such as distribution and wholesale. In Singapore and Philippines, iOM has been selling and supporting Oracle’s application suite mainly catering to Tier 1 business requirements. In the local market, the Sri Lankan subsidiary has been successfully positioning SunSystems application suite for clients requiring that level of sophistication. iOM Sri Lanka Director Business Development Chris Parakrama says that a major void that was not addressed until recent was the small to mid-market segment where Companies such as small and medium scale manufacturers have been looking for a globally recognised Application that is locally priced. He went on to say that, “Sage 300 ERP does just that, it allows core requirements such as Finance, Distribution and Manufacturing (process) to be handled via a user friendly solution and at the same time priced extremely competitively.” Parakrama said that iOM Singapore would also be focusing on Sage’s higher-end product, namely Sage ERP X3, as the business requirements over there tend to require more sophistication corresponding to a much higher price point. He also noted that more information would be made available on the solution offerings and special promotions in the Sri Lankan market in the coming months.
