JKCS releases “PromoTracker”

A new calendar-based promotion tracking mobile phone application was launched by JKCS this month, introducing an eager audience to a unique personal promotions calendar with the offers of their preferred vendors on demand. The application designed and developed by the JKCS Mobile team, have the most sought-after promotions across different industries in Sri Lanka. The application can be customised by the user to receive desired promotions from vendors of goods and services from whom they wish to receive promotional notifications. All this by a click will get recorded in their own calendar which indicates the local holidays. An added feature of the application is the availability of the days’ exchange rates for some of the major currencies used in Sri Lanka. On the day, the promotion’s slotted reminders will be given at a time defined by the user. The application has been built with optimum end-user convenience and usage in mind where it will delete expired promotions on its own and most importantly provide battery and data cost saving features. End-customer focus At the launch of the application, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Deputy General Manager Marketing Hasrath Munasinghe stated: “We are happy to partner with JKCS to launch this mobile application. We feel that the Promotracker has been designed with the end-customer in mind to give the best utility to users. Society is moving rapidly towards mobile and mobile-based applications and Promotracker will provide the ideal common platform for us to keep our customers aware of the attractive promotions on offer for them.” “Keeping in mind those most interesting offers out there which we vouch to ourselves to keep track of is not as easy as it sounds with the current busy lifestyle and this is exactly what we hope to make a convenience to the public,” JKCS CEO J.C. Ekanayake said.  “As per statistics a segment of over 250,000 smart phone users reside in the market today, the Promotracker was simply built to address this concern of this rapidly growing segment who are regularly online in search of offers and promotions and also to facilitate vendors in taking their offers to their potential and existing clients,” he added. Constant innovation The application is focused on constant innovation based on consumer needs and purchase preferences. The factor of differentiation in a vendor’s perspective lies in the value they give to their loyal client base. With significant clutter on communication media today, messages to a potential consumer are most of the time lost in transit. “What we aim to do through this application is to eliminate the disturbance to a consumer’s lifestyle while also ensuring they have information on demand at their fingertips,” Ekanayake concluded. The application is now available for download on Android Smart Phones and Tabs in Google play with an iOS version scheduled to be released shortly. The application can be accessed simply by typing in “Promotion Tracker” on android devices.
