Fortinet − a global leader in high-performance cyber security solutions − has announced the channel award winners at its annual Global Partner Conference 2015. At the event, Sri Lanka’s KBSL won the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award in the Asia Pacific region. Fortinet recognises and awards outstanding achievements delivered by its global distributors and partners.
KBSL Information Technologies, a leading systems integrator in Sri Lanka, designs, delivers and supports integrated business solutions to meet the cyber security needs of enterprises. It operates in verticals like financial services, telecom, public sector, leisure, transport and logistics. KBSL services leading companies in the country, including a top bank, telco and private hospital.
KBSL’s strategic partnership with Fortinet has enabled it to make inroads into the network security market in Sri Lanka. Fortinet helps KBSL go a step further than the competition by providing advanced services like FortiGuard real-time threat research and intelligence, and the streamlining of complex networking and security features into easy to manage multifunctional devices.
“The highlight of our partnership with Fortinet was in helping a leading service provider set up their managed security services. The implemented solution is able to provide high availability, securing the service provider’s network while also meeting the specific requirements of their customers,” said KBSL CEO Silmy Ahamed. “This award is the result of the hard work and proficiency of each of our team members.”
Fortinet started its operations in Sri Lanka in 2006 and now has a dedicated office servicing key customers. Last year, Fortinet grew its Sri Lanka business by over 40 per cent, and expects further expansion this year. Fortinet has bagged major deals in the government and banking sectors, while all the large service providers in Sri Lanka use Fortinet to protect their networks.
Fortinet’s annual Global Partner Conference provides the Fortinet partner community with access to key marketing and business strategies, leadership, and information regarding specific customer solutions designed to help partners succeed in the marketplace. This year’s conference was attended by over 600 partner organisations from 91 countries, making it Fortinet’s largest global partner conference ever.
