LAUGFS bags award at ‘Best Sri Lankan Website’ competition

Laugfs Corporate IT won a merit award at the prestigious ‘Best Sri Lankan Website Competition’ – BestWeb.lk 2013 under the Corporate, Banking and Finance category. The award was in recognition of the outstanding attributes of the company website www.laugfs.lk and was presented to Laugfs at a ceremony held recently in Colombo. ‘Best Sri Lankan Website Competition’ – BestWeb.lk 2013 is a unique and innovative competition organised by the LK Domain Registry, an independent non-profit organisation which registers internet domain names in Sri Lankan country coded top level Internet domain. The competition has been carried out annually from 2009 to promote and popularise Sri Lankan websites and showcase the Sri Lankan web identity online. The competition provides recognition to outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations in Sri Lanka who have contributed to the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT). Solely an in-house development, the website was developed by Web Development Team Leader Manoj Niranjan under the Guidance of Software Development Manager Rajeeva George and Laugfs Holdings Ltd. Chief Information Officer Kanishka Weeramunda. www.laugfs.lk contains details of Laugfs Holdings with links to all websites of its subsidiaries thus acts as a centralised reservoir of information about the umbrella of Laugfs. This centralisation, coupled with the user-friendly nature and visual appeal of the website were among factors which contributed to Laugfs receiving this award.
