LAUGFS IT wins Merit award at National Best Quality ICT Awards 2012

LAUGFS IT, the corporate Information Technology (IT) Department of LAUGFS Holdings Limited, on Friday 19 October 2012 won the Merit award for its in-house developed intranet, at the prestigious National Best Quality ICT Awards 2012 (NBQSA).

The intranet is an in-house built application that allows all the users of the LAUGFS family to interact, share information, blog, update, etc. with any and all in the network. The creation is a combined effort corporate IT team led by Rajeeva George, Manager Software Development under the leadership of Kanishka Weeramunda – Chief Information Officer (CIO).

The design and implementation was rolled out by Manoj Niranjan– Team Leader Web Development. The team said the intranet would be the mere beginning of many creations in the pipeline.
