McLarens Group goes to the Cloud with Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Asia Pacific General Manager – Southeast Asia New Markets Michelle Simmons met with McLarens Holdings Group Finance Director Kalum Katipearachchi and the Group IT heads of McLarens Holdings Ltd. on a recent visit to Sri Lanka. 

McLarens Holdings, a shipping and logistics conglomerate, has deployed Office 365 in a majority of the Group companies. The Group and has also signed up for Azure Disaster Recovery, making it the first Sri Lankan shipping and logistics company to do so. Azure Disaster Recovery is an enterprise-grade disaster recovery service by Microsoft. Microsoft will host the McLarens’ line of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications on Azure, an enterprise-grade cloud computing platform, across their subsidiaries. Furthermore, Microsoft Office 365 licenses and Azure Virtual Machines will be provided to all companies within the McLarens Group.
