Memory Technologies opens ‘Kingston’ retail store for end users

Sri Lanka’s top memory products supplier Memory Technologies has opened its first standalone retail outlet in Colombo, enabling end-users to purchase products of the globally-renowned Silicon Valley brand ‘Kingston’ directly from the brand’s authorised distributor in the country.

The new ‘Memory Exclusive’ store located at the Laptop Centre (Supun Arcade) in Wellawatte (Colombo 6), offers the latest products of Kingston including its ‘HyperX’ memory products for gaming enthusiasts. The store also features USB drives, flash cards and computer memory.

All products sold at the new store carry Kingston’s original warranty.

Memory Technologies founder and Managing Director Suresh Wijesinghe said that the opening of the Memory Technologies’ store was in response to the needs of end users.

“Most end users are concerned that some of the products they buy with the Kingston brand are not covered by the original warranty, and are sometimes not even genuine,” he said. “This easily accessible outlet enables customers to purchase products directly from the authorised distributor.” “Memory Technologies is excited at the prospect of serving end users, which previously the company could only do at exhibitions and in a limited manner through direct sales at its head office,” Wijesinghe added. “This outlet presents a good opportunity for us to focus on and improve direct interaction with end users.” Wijesinghe disclosed that the company is planning to launch exciting promotions targeting end users via the new store.
