Micromax fans meet legendary rock star Bryan Adams in Hyderabad

granted 10 lucky winners from across Sri Lanka the opportunity to not only experience Rock legend Bryan Adams live in concert but also meet him in person.

Micromax, as the ‘Title Sponsor’ to the ‘Bryan Adams Live in Concert – India Tour’ travelled across Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, New Delhi and Hyderabad.

The 10 lucky winners selected through a special competition by Micromax earlier this year includes Gihan Subasingha, Chalaka Liyanage, Avantha Shashimal, Madawa Madushanka, Chaminda Kariyawasam, Mohan Rodrigo, Nishad Fernando, Nishantha, Tharidu Ferdinando and Keshan Fernando.

Speaking on their unforgettable experience one of the euphoric winners Gihan Subasingha said: “It has been a lifelong dream of mine to watch a performance by Bryan Adams on an international stage. I never expected to meet him in person, but Micromax made it happen not just for me but to all the lucky winners of this competition.”

The competition launched a few weeks prior to the concert required that the Micromax customer send in a message with the handset’s IMEI number (International Mobile Equipment Identity), a code found on every mobile.

The Sri Lankan winners were to attend the Delhi concert but it was unfortunately cancelled due to heavy rains. Not wanting to disappoint its customers Micromax flew the lucky winners to Hydrabad where the next concert was to be stage, all expenses paid.

Chalaka Liyanage, another winner commenting on the fully-sponsored trip, said: “We all took our seats at the VIP enclosure at the concert, which was very exciting for us as Bollywood stars along the likes of Sunil Shetty were also seated with us. We are extremely lucky to have met Bryan Adams personally; it’s a moment I will treasure for the rest of my life.”

The Tandoori loving Canadian rock star is renowned for being one of the top, hit-making artists in rock and pop over the past 25 years. Starting with his debut album Bryan Adams in 1980, on through to Room Service in 2004, the stars music is timeless, for both the older and younger generation.
