MillenniumIT appoints new CEO

Millennium Information Technologies (MillenniumIT) part of diversified international exchange business, London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), announced the appointment of John Mackay Mack’ Gill, as its new CEO recently. Gill joined MillenniumIT from global technology group, SunGard Data Systems, where he was the Corporate Development and Strategy Senior Vice President. Prior to this, Gill held a number of senior roles at SunGard, including President of SunGard Global Technology and President of SunGard Global Services.

He holds an MA in International Relations from Yale University and a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. Gill is also the Treasurer and a Board Director of the International Association of Financial Engineers (IAFE).

As MillenniumIT CEO, Gill will be responsible for all aspects of MillenniumIT, including strategy. He will be a member of the LSEG global Leadership Team and will report directly to Antoine Shagoury, LSEG COO/CIO. He will also work closely with non-executive Chairman Tony Weeresinghe, supporting his global business development role. Gill will be based in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Weeresinghe who is also the LSEG Global Business Development Director added: “MillenniumIT has had an extraordinary history since I founded it in 1996 and now provides market leading trading and capital markets technology to over 30 organisations worldwide, including LSEG. I am delighted that someone of Mack’s experience and expertise is now going to be leading MillenniumIT, as it moves to the next exciting stage in its development and I very much look forward to working with him.”
