First Android app in the history of CHOGM

In light of the 23rd Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) being held this week, the very first Android app developed in the history of CHOGM, titled ‘CHOGM 2013 – Sri Lanka’ is gaining quick popularity.

Powered by Mobitel, the country’s National Mobile Service Provider, this app contains a wealth of information on all 53 member countries. Constructed completely in the Sinhala language, this app runs on Android 2.2 and upwards, and does not depend on your mobile phone’s capability towards Sinhala language support. The CHOGM 2013 app contains information such as the schedule, the history of CHOGM, and its official theme song as well. Information on the 52 member countries is also included in the app. i.e. national flag, national anthem, maps and other related information. ‘CHOGM 2013 - Sri Lanka’ is available for download on Google Play.
