Mobitel receives highest award for excellence in Service Sector

At the recently concluded CNCI Achiever Awards 2011 ceremony, Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel walked away with the Gold for National Level — Industrial and Service Excellence in the Extra Large category and the CNCI Top Ten Award for Industrial and Service Excellence in the Extra Large category, becoming the only Mobile Service Provider to be awarded at the esteemed awards presentation organised by The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries.



Graced by Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal, the event concluded on a high note with some of the most respected industrial and service enterprises receiving prestigious achiever awards for Industrial Excellence.

Established five decades ago, The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries was the pioneer Chamber of the Industrial Sector in Sri Lanka and has been a key driver behind industrial growth and excellence in the country. The CNCI Achiever Awards held for the 10th consecutive time this year is considered one of its main initiatives directed at encouraging and empowering manufacturing and service sector companies to reach greater heights in performance.

The evaluation of the entries were made out on a number of criteria encompassing Turnover, Value Addition, Productivity and Responsibilities towards employees, Growth and Future, R & D, Quality Assurance, Environmental Responsibilities, Health and Safety and Social Responsibility, carried out by a panel of judges of well respected industry professionals.

The awards ceremony celebrates Industry and Service excellence at a national level and annually provides a public stage for the crystallisation of multifaceted achievements at all levels of industry and recognises organisations for their spirit of resilience, hard work, dedication and upholding of well-honoured professional ethics.
