National Chamber seminar on ‘Electronic Payments to Power up the Digital Era of Business’

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka together with LankaClear Ltd., the National Payment Network Operator (LankaPay) will present a seminar/forum on ‘Electronic Payments to Power up the Digital Era of Business’ on 17 September from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chamber Auditorium, 450 D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The seminar will focus covering the following areas:

Electronic payments that is propelling Sri Lanka to achieve modern economy status and the role played by LankaPay in driving the economy into the digital future of payments.

The regulator, Central Bank‘s vision and the progressive policies/regulations in creating an era of electronic payments in the country that will propel growth and development in business segments.

The Commercial Banks’ role and their plans on innovating and introducing the latest in digital payment products on the common national payment infrastructure.

Views and firsthand information from a blue chip company/conglomerate on how they would adopt future payment technology to increase the efficiency of their business and change the way they do business. 

The resource persons will be Sunimal Weerasooriya, General Manager/CEO, LankaClear Ltd.; Mala Dayaratne, Director – Payments and Settlements, Central Bank of Sri Lanka; Rohan Muttiah, former Chairman – Banks’ CIO Forum and CIO, Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC; and Ramesh Shanmuganathan, Executive Vice President/CIO, John Keells Group. A panel discussion will follow the presentations.
