Front and rear camera features

Like its predecessor the OPPO F1, the F1s also carries the title of “the selfie expert” with its 16 MP front camera, seen for the first time in a phone within its price segment, as well as a host of new photo editing and beautifying options.

Aside from its 16 MP front cam the F1s sports a 13 MP rear camera, a super-fast finger print reader that can unlock the phone within 0.22 seconds,  a large 3075 mAh battery, 32 GB ROM and a triple slot card tray that can hold two SIM cards and an SD card of up to 128 GB.

As the new selfie expert the F1s aims to capture more natural looking selfies. After bringing in the ‘beautify’ Feature in its previous smartphone cameras, OPPO’s F1s comes with the beautify 4.0 feature in both its rear and front cams. This feature gives consumers the options of enhancing their photos and selfies with seven levels of beautification and two skin tone modes.

16 MP front camera also provides a dynamic range with minimum visual disturbances by employing a 1/3.1- inch sensor and a large F/20 aperture. To further ensure that users can get the perfect shots they require, the F1s’ front camera also comes equipped with a ‘palm shutter’ and a ‘voice shutter’, where selfies can be taken by a wave of the hand or by simply saying cheese, so that the unwanted shake sometimes caused by pressing the shutter button can be avoided.

The front camera also features an upgraded screen flash function, which adjusts to compensate the current light conditions allowing users to capture selfies with more depth and detail in low light environments.

In addition to its rear camera’s panorama mode the F1s also features a selfie panorama mode with its front camera, so that a larger number of people can be included in a selfie.

The rear 13MP camera includes a 1/3 inch back illuminated sensor and a f/22 aperture for a good range and high light sensitivity when taking photos.

Touch access and finger print reader

The F1s features one of the fastest home button fingerprint readers available among smartphones in it’s price segment. This fingerprint reader is also the key to fingerprint activated calling and app launch; users can assign five different fingerprints to open apps and access contacts of choice.

By using different fingers to unlock the phone, the pre-set app or phone call will be automated, saving users from the inconvenience of looking for apps or contacts among many icons and contact names.

Battery life and performance

The F1s can vouch for long lasting performance through an octa-core 64 bit processor with 3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM. It runs on a large 3075 mAh battery and is boosted by the ColorOS 3.0 firmware’s power saving optimisations, and can function upto 14 hours benefiting consumers who need to be on call 24/7.

Design

The F1s has a 5.5 inch 2.5 D corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen with a pre-applied protective screen coating to give the phone a good finish and long lasting durability. It is available in the colours gold and grey.

In Sri Lanka the model will be available with authorised dealers islandwide in the colour gold and will be priced at Rs. 39, 900.

The model has passed more than 390 different design tests from raw material to mass production and 822 different design procedures.
