Papyrus Papers’ first three Samsung Experience Stores (SES) opened their doors on Monday, 31 March and Friday 4 April 2014, offering consumers a new outlet for engagement with the brand. Set up and operated by Papyrus Papers Ltd. under a franchise awarded by John Keells Office Automation (JKOA), these trailblazing new stores are located at Battaramulla, Wattala and Ja-Ela. The franchisee Papyrus Papers intends to rapidly extend this concept to an island-wide chain of similar stores within the next 18 months. The Samsung Experience Store is an exclusive, custom-designed retail outlet for sales of and after-sales support for Samsung mobile phones, and is intended to be a place where people can share, play and learn through the latest technology releases from Samsung. “The opening of these new stores is well-timed for the much anticipated arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S5,” Papyrus Papers Chairman/CEO Ashan Abeyesundere said. “They will be among the first to display this exciting new release of the iconic Galaxy series.” The three new Samsung Experience Stores are located at No. 135, Main Road, Battaramulla; No. 177, Negombo Road, Wattala; and No. 48, New Colombo Road, Ja-Ela. They are designed, laid out and branded according to the worldwide guidelines and standards of Samsung. The appointment of Papyrus Papers as a franchisee in Sri Lanka for Samsung Experience Stores marks a significant diversification for the country’s leading supplier of fine papers for printing, corporate stationery and Digital Quick Print services which commenced operations in 2002.
