Phoenix Industries Ltd., the country’s leading and largest plastic manufacturing company joined hands with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for the implementation of their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. The implementation was focused on the modular areas of finance management, sales and marketing, purchasing, warehousing and manufacturing. The project was carried out based on the PricewaterhouseCoopers proprietary ‘Transform’ methodology. Transform was used to assess the current state, design the future state, construct the system design, implement the solution and maintain the solution through continuous review. During the implementation, processes were re-engineered with inputs from PricewaterhouseCoopers knowledge repositories to embrace the standard industry practices followed around the world. The Enterprise Resource Planning solution was implemented in its vanilla state whilst catering to the business requirement through workarounds and process reengineering to allow Phoenix to seamlessly adopt future product upgrades. With the implementation, Phoenix has been able to streamline and automate processes with new efficiencies, obtain accurate and reliable management information on-time for better decision making, standardise documents and transaction processing across departments and improve worker efficiency; whilst adding long term value to the business.
