A new shop, Phonezone, opened its doors in the Seychelles to officially become the authorised distributor of the Zigo mobile brand, offering its clients a wide range of Zigo mobile phones and accessories. The shop is located on the first floor of Orion Mall and was declared opened on Monday by the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Seychelles, Rajatha Piyatissa, in the presence of the shop’s owners Jon and Barbara Wybrow, Bank of Ceylon Chief Executive Manager Ranjith Haputhanthri, Keshan Fernando and Shiwantha Wickramarathe from Sri Lanka, along with staff and other invitees. “I would like to congratulate Jon and Barbara for partnering with the Sri Lankans to open this shop. It is also a great honour and pleasure for me as it is the first shop I am opening since my appointment as the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka,” Piyatissa said. Zigo mobile is a brand owned by Serendib ventures FZC, which has regional offices in Sharjah UAE, Sri Lanka and China. Zigo has mobiles, tabs, android tabs and accessories. “As a mobile brand we always try to connect people who want to share their lives through our devices, and I would like to say that we are the second largest mobile vendor in Sri Lanka,” Fernando said. Jon Wybrow added: “We are excited today to share with you a range of products that we feel can change the market here in Seychelles, making the latest, high quality technology available to everyone. We started this journey a year ago with a referral to our partners in Sri Lanka, and we were impressed from the start with their commitment to quality and after-sales services.”
