Presentation on ‘The Next Generation Data Centres’

Imtiaz Issadeen, currently Senior Project Director at KVH Ltd. Japan, which is a fidelity investment company, will be presenting ‘The Next Generation Data Centres’ from 5 p.m. on 17 December at the Orion City IT park located at Sir Danister De Silva Mawatha (Baseline Road). Imtiaz, based in Tokyo since 1970, has successfully managed two Greenfield and three Brownfield data centre projects and one US$ 300 million R&D centre in Japan with a total of US$ 900 million in projects. His previous employment has been with DuPont, Eastman Kodak, Hitachi and PTS Consulting. In his current role he covers Korea, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. His most recent DC in Japan won three industry awards. His lecture will focus on best design practice, future proofing the data centre, the economics, typical costs in Asia, mission critical equipment, Heat rejection and uninterrupted power supply. Currently in Sri Lanka there are many data centres available and many in the pipeline.
