PwC Sri Lanka and Phoenix partners in match made on Cloud

Phoenix Industries Ltd., the leading and largest plastic manufacturer in Sri Lanka joined hands with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to enable their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solution, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 on Microsoft Azure Cloud for the first time in Sri Lanka. PwC Sri Lanka in partnership with Microsoft has been successful in providing enterprise solutions over the years, with the expertise of well qualified, multi-skilled professionals who have vast experience in diverse industries.

Phoenix Industries Ltd. had been using Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 since 2010 and embraced Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 as an on-premise solution in the year 2013 in order to maximise on the new features available with the latest release at that point in time. This enterprise resource planning solution continues to drive their business as well as operational excellence in terms of finance, sales, purchasing, inventory and manufacturing. The solution was implemented in its vanilla state while catering to the business requirement through workarounds and process reengineering. This allowed Phoenix Industries Ltd. to seamlessly migrate the on-premise solution on to Microsoft Azure Cloud.  At present the Cloud environment facilitates the total enterprise solution including virtualised client services, ERP application services and database services. The business continues to reap the benefits of its Cloud based IT strategy by:
