Sala Enterprises Managing Director Chinthaka Wijewickrama (right) hands over the sponsorship to INFOTEL Main Organising Committee Chairman Sudath Amarasinghe
Sala has joined hands as the Silver Sponsor of the premier ICT exhibition ‘INFOTEL – 2016’. Organised by the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS), ‘INFOTEL –2016’, which is the biggest and most prestigious Information and Communication Technology (ICT) exhibition in Sri Lanka, will be held from 11 to 13 November, at the BMICH in Colombo. FITIS is organising this landmark event in the ICT calendar for the 15th consecutive time. The theme of this year’s exhibition will be ‘Empowering Digital Citizens’.
Expressing his views on this sponsorship, Sala Enterprises Managing Director Chinthaka Wijewickrama said: “We have always introduced the latest technology to Sri Lanka, keeping in mind the price, because it should be affordable to consumers in Sri Lanka. To do that we have a very unique formula-one: the product, second: the staff and third: the after sales services. Without the staff, we cannot give proper after sales services. The after sales service is a key factor in Sri Lanka that we have never forgotten and we will always give the maximum to the consumer. That has been our winning formula. We bring the best of technology from all over the world, but make sure that it’s the most suitable for the Sri Lankan consumer.’’

INFOTEL Main Organising Committee Chairman Sudath Amarasinghe said that this will serve as a bridge and offer a viable window of opportunity to Sri Lankan companies in the ICT sphere to explore possibilities of securing global markets for their products and services. This can also be viewed as a good opportunity for local players in the industry to seek foreign investments to develop their businesses, he noted. Further, he said that arrangements to host the proposed exhibition have already got underway and further support and patronage from more government and private sector institutions is being anticipated to contribute towards the greater success of INFOTEL – 2016.
FITIS played a lead role in organising INFOTEL – 2016 with the active support and patronage of a host of government and private sector institutions.
