SLASSCOM, ESI workshop on the power of business analyst

Slasscom together with ESI will present the following workshop on 9 June at the Taj Samudra, this event is targeted at the BA community, system analysis — project management professionals, consultants and process improvement professionals, aspiring BAs who want develop their knowledge on Business Analysis. The Speaker for this event is Glenn R. Brûlé, CSM, CBAP, Executive Director of Global Client Solutions, of ESI International who brings more than two decades of focused business analysis experience.

A recognised expert in the creation and maturity of Business Analysis Centres of Excellence, Glenn has helped clients in the energy, financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, insurance and automotive industries, as well as government agencies across the world. His approach to maturing requirements management and development capabilities focuses on short-term reductions in costs, resources and time to market while charting a path to long-term change that drives organisations competitively forward.

Travelling extensively to speak at conferences, work with clients and help build local chapters of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®), Glenn offers a rare global viewpoint on the state of BA. Recent travels have brought him to six continents where he has addressed more than 10,000 business leaders. His on-the-ground experience provides ESI clients with a reality-based perspective of BA in regions around the world and proven guidance on how to overcome geographic, cultural and language barriers.

In 2009, Glenn published his first two works, the CBAP Exam: Practice Test and Study Guide and Business Analysis Terms, 1st edition. He is also a regular contributor to Modern Analyst and BA Times as well as other industry publications.

As a founding board member of IIBA and former Vice President of Chapters, Glenn has driven the advancement of the BA profession globally. His personal commitment and involvement has resulted in the founding of chapters in more than a dozen countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining ESI in 2006, Glenn was Director of Business Development and Learning Strategy with Nexient Learning. He attended Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. In this workshop, Glenn will speak on “Revolutionise Your Business: The Power of the Business Analyst.”

Participants will learn: How to reduce cycle time through business analysis techniques; How business analysis improves customer satisfaction; The top five successful techniques to gather and document user requirements; and The critical role a business analyst plays on development projects.
