SLASSCOM to hold networking session between IT industry and Lankan expats

SLASSCOM, the IT/BPO and knowledge services industry trade chamber, has organised an open house targeted at Sri Lankan expatriates here on holiday to mingle with the industry champions who have taken advantage of the unique opportunities for IT/BPO and KPO in Sri Lanka.

Many Sri Lankan IT/BPO and knowledge services industry companies are looking for seasoned, well experienced professionals abroad to return home and help expand their operations. AT Kearney identifies Sri Lanka as a ‘hidden gem’ for outsourcing.

The country has now moved up to 79th in the Forbes list of best countries for business. The IFC-World Bank annual Ease of Doing Business Index placed Sri Lanka as among world’s 10 most improved nations. Sri Lanka claimed South Asia’s highest spot in the global ease of doing business ranking, at 81 out of 185 economies.
