WSO2 last week announced that 22 guest speakers will present at WSO2Con 2011, WSO2’s second annual user conference.
The presenters include customers, researchers, systems integrators, and other third-party solution providers. Collectively, they will explore the unique convergence of service-oriented architecture (SOA), open source software, mobile and cloud computing, along with IT strategies for improving productivity and competing in a global economy. They also will represent a broad cross section of markets, including banking and financial services, e-government, retail, telecommunications, information technology, universities, and research institutions.
WSO2Con 2011 runs 12-16 September, 2011 at the acclaimed Waters Edge resort and conference centre. In addition to the guest presentations, the five-day event also features more than 40 technical presentations, panels and tutorials aimed at addressing IT professionals’ top enterprise application and integration priorities.
Guest speakers at WSO2Con 2011 were selected through the conference’s open call for papers. From over 10 different countries, they represent organisations such as Datatel Solutions, The Saint-Petersburg Information and Analytics Center, Godel Technologies Europe, Atlantic Lottery Corporation, Respere, ODEL, Alfa-Bank, Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas, Sociedad Hipotecaria Federa, 2degrees Mobile Ltd, John Keells Holdings PLC, Cognisant Technology Solutions, Institute of Architecture of Application Systems (IAAS), Wipro Technologies, T-Systems and more.
Renown as some of the world’s innovators in the development and implementation of SOA, Web services, open source, mobile, cloud and other software technologies, these speakers will share their insights in presentations across a number of the conference’s keynote, technology and industry tracks.
Complementing the guest presentations will be a series of sessions and in-depth tutorials delivered by leading technical experts at WSO2, who have contributed to many of today’s SOA, XML and open source standards. WSO2 Founder and CEO Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana and WSO2 Co-founder and CTO Paul Fremantle will present keynotes on “WSO2: Disrupting the Middleware Industry,” and “WSO2 Vision and Roadmap,” respectively. Additionally, WSO2 architects and developers will deliver sessions and tutorials on the enabling technologies and best practices for implementing SOAs, mobile solutions, cloud deployments, security, mediation, business processes, and more.
Essential to every business, even those that aren’t considered “technology” companies, is technology. A quintessential part of competing in today’s rapidly changing business world, organisations need to stay abreast of emerging technology trends and be tech-savvy enough to understand how it can be incorporated to improve the quality and effectiveness of business processes.
“Sessions and tutorials have been carefully crafted to provide an interactive opportunity where participants can get to grips with middleware technology and build their understanding of key areas from building lean enterprise middleware solutions to cloud computing through real world customer stories, in-depth workshops and inspirational keynote presentations” said Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, WSO2 Co Founder & CEO.
WSO2 is the lean enterprise middleware company. It delivers the only complete open source enterprise SOA middleware stack purpose-built as an integrated platform to support today’s heterogeneous enterprise environments — internally and in the cloud. WSO2’s service and support team is led by technical experts who have proven success in deploying enterprise SOAs and contribute to the technology standards that enable them.
