Viber, the leading mobile communications platform, has launched Viber Design and Win contest, a local talent search initiative inviting illustrators, designers, students and visual artists to design creative stickers and see their creation being used by the 5 million+ discerning Viber registered users in Sri Lanka.
Viber will select top three finalists, who will be presented with an Apple iPad each and will get a chance to be empanelled as official designers for future Viber stickers in Sri Lanka. The top10 finalists will receive a certificate of participation and exposure across Viber’s social media platforms. The contest closes on Wednesday 12 October.
This contest has been launched by Viber in the wake of the huge success of Sri Lankan stickers introduced by Viber recently. There are 96 million Viber stickers exchanged in Sri Lanka every month.
“We believe Sri Lankan people are very talented and creative. Viber Design and Win is a national sticker designing contest where we are inviting students, artists and the creative community in Sri Lanka. We are encouraging them to expressively embody the Sri Lankan emotions of love, friendship or any local theme that would become a conversation starter on Viber,” said Regional Head Viber South Asia Anubhav Nayyar.
The contest is open for everyone above 18 years of age. The sketch or design needs to be submitted as a photo or a .jpeg or a scanned document along with the contestants name, mobile number and a short write-up describing the stickers.
Entries need to be submitted to [email protected] by Monday 12 October. The winning entries will be selected by Monday 24 October. A qualified submission is one which meets all of the terms of the guidelines that can be accessed through www.viberdesignandwin.com.
