Wavenet amongst 30 most innovative emerging IT companies in the world

Wavenet, the region’s leading telecommunication value added services specialist, has been listed amongst the world’s most innovative companies at the i7 summit held this year in Chantilly, France.  

The i7 Summit is a gathering of selected participants who are active in supporting technology, innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.  The three-day event has participants engaging in intensive discussions, professionally moderated workshops and taskforces. The summit provides a platform to share latest trends, best practices and to reflect on how to make a positive impact on society.

Wavenet CEO Suren Pinto represented the company at this event, where he got the opportunity to share his unique experiences and Suren Pinto CEO of Wavenetexpertise with other delegates at the summit. Some of the key speakers included Sylvie Spalmacin, VP at IBM Smarter Planet Initiative, Michael Jeon, Head of Europe at Samsung Venture, and Peter Samuelson, the award winning TV and film producer.

“It was an honour to have been selected to participate at this prestigious event which is a gathering of the world’s greatest innovators and visionaries,” Pinto stated upon his return. “It was a great platform to showcase what companies from emerging nations like Sri Lanka are truly capable of.”  

Wavenet was chosen as one of the 30 most results oriented emerging companies in the world as a result of the groundbreaking telecommunication solutions they have brought to market over the past two years.

Amongst this is Wavenet’s Infinity One solution, which enables consumers to have a seamless, device agnostic communication experience which almost grants them omnipresence in terms of reach. The company’s Roamfree solution is another innovation, which gives roamers access to cheap data packages, a necessity in a smartphone-centric world.
