WSO2, the lean enterprise middleware provider, today announced that it has been cited by Forrester Research as a strong performer in The Forrester Wave: Integrated SOA Governance, Q1, 2012 report published on 17 January.
The report’s findings were based on a 121-criteria evaluation of commercial and open source vendors that deliver integrated service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance solutions. This report follows two other related SOA reports in which WSO2 was cited by Forrester Research as a strong performer: The Forrester Wave: Standalone SOA Management Solutions, Q4, 2011 report published December 2, 2011, and The Forrester Wave: SOA Service Life-Cycle Management, Q1, 2012 report published 6 January.
According to the Forrester Report on Integrated SOA Governance, “Because SOA business services model key business transactions and queries, SOA products can provide direct business benefits in the form of real-time business visibility, agility, and control.” The report continued, “Integrated SOA governance is a key part of a comprehensive and well-managed foundation for SOA-based solutions.”
“We designed our middleware and cloud products with the idea that a lean, adaptive, modular architecture could provide the high performance and flexibility that enterprises need. As a result, IT professionals can readily configure our middleware to address their specific design-time and runtime SOA governance requirements,” said Paul Fremantle, WSO2 co-founder and CTO.
“We are excited to be identified by Forrester as a strong performer in its Integrated SOA Governance Wave report. It further validates our commitment to reinventing middleware around the next generation of open source standards to meet enterprises’ real-world demands.”
WSO2 is the lean enterprise middleware company. It delivers the only complete open source enterprise SOA middleware stack purpose-built as an integrated platform to support today’s heterogeneous enterprise environments—internally and in the cloud.
WSO2’s service and support team is led by technical experts who have proven success in deploying enterprise SOAs and contribute to the technology standards that enable them.
