WSO2 and LightHouse Technology and Services have announced a strategic partnership to deliver service-oriented architecture (SOA) and application integration solutions to Brazil-based enterprises.
WSO2 delivers the industry’s most comprehensive middleware platforms for enabling SOA and composite application development and deployment on-premise and in the cloud. LightHouse brings more than a decade of proven expertise in delivering enterprise software and IT consulting services to the Brazil market.
Through the partnership, the growing base of Brazilian customers using WSO2’s 100% open source middleware can take advantage of locally based, best-in-class IT implementation services from LightHouse.
Under terms of the agreement, LightHouse will use WSO2’s middleware along with its own enterprise software to provide new and existing customers with solutions for integrating on-premise applications from vendors, such as Oracle and SAP, as well as software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings, such as Salesforce.com. Additionally, WSO2 will provide LightHouse with technical, sales and marketing support to promote SOA adoption and help customers achieve the high availability, high performance, and flexibility they require for IT and business agility.
LightHouse provides IT consulting along with a range of software applications, including its flagship LightHouse/BM for the secure administration of batch processes. WSO2’s award-winning platforms include the WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform and WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform, which are based on the same code to enable a seamless migration between on-premise and the cloud.
All WSO2 software products are released under the Apache License 2.0, and they do not carry any licensing fees. World-class production support from WSO2 ensures that users can run mission-critical applications on the platforms with confidence.
“We see in our customers an increasing demand for online integration between their various systems, driven by the different ways that they interact with their clients, regulatory agencies and other organisations,” said Philippe Sevestre, LightHouse founder and CTO.
“WSO2 shares our vision on integration, and it offers a broad line of SOA solutions addressing those integration scenarios, enabling our customers to gradually adopt new solutions, including newer SaaS offerings in a controlled and managed fashion.” Sevestre added, “LightHouse has a long tradition of using and partnering with companies that adopt the ‘professional open source’ model. We experimented with various open source tools, but when we looked at all the aspects that a solid SOA implementation has to have, the choice of WSO2 was pretty obvious.”
“Brazil’s strong business growth is being matched by enterprises’ equally strong investments in agile IT, and we are now seeing a rapid increase in demand for our open source WSO2 Carbon and WSO2 Stratos platforms,” said Jonathan Marsh, WSO2 vice president of business development and product design.
“We are excited to partner with LightHouse in addressing the needs of customers in this market. As an established provider in IT software and services, LightHouse brings a long track record of success in delivering proven SOA and integration solutions tailored to meet the requirements of enterprises in Brazil.”
