Xtreme Networks launches operations in Sri Lanka

Xtreme Networks Ltd., an Information Technology Company consisting of a highly-specialised team of network professionals, has launched operations in Sri Lanka. Xtreme Networks is a premier certified company under Cisco Systems – Sri Lanka and has a specialisation in Advanced Unified Communications. Being the brainchild of Nalaka Karunaratne and Kiran Vuppalapati, Xtreme Networks originated from Sydney, Australia in 2009 and marked their presence in Sri Lanka in 2010, one year after Sri Lanka rose from the ashes of the 30-year civil war. This conducive outset enabled Nalaka – a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Voice –and Kiran – a dual CCIE holder in Routing & Switching and Voice – to put their foundations in Sri Lanka, following a successful five-year stint at the Technical Service Organisation in Cisco Systems-Australia. Joining Nalaka and Kiran in their Sri Lankan endeavour are Kamal Edirisinghe, an Honours Graduate from the University of Moratuwa and an Expert in Wireless Technologies and Dakshina Jayawardena, who acts as the Business Development Manager for the Sri Lankan front. Rhodri Jenkins, who joins the team from the land down under is a CCIE in Cisco Wireless Technologies, and has a vast industry experience for nearly two decades. The technically-sound Welshman has focused on wireless, mobility and identity technologies in the recent years and has project experience in Europe. Establishing their technical and managerial acumen to the highest order and marking their signature on Sri Lankan soil, the team of Xtreme Networks has contributed their services to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport. The team along with Wafer Systems – China, successfully designed, implemented and supported the entire network backbone at MRIA, which covers crucial technologies from data, voice, wireless and network security. The team’s wide experience in the related technical fields came under praise and commendation from all relevant personnel at MRIA. One of the key clients for Xtreme Networks in Australia has been the University of Wollongong. Being a strategic services partner for the Australian Technology Giant Data#3, Xtreme contributed to major projects such as Toyota Finance Australia (TFA), Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and Essential Energy.
