Zebra Technologies Corporation, a global leader in products and services that provide real-time visibility into organizations’ assets, people and transactions, today introduced its suite of barcode, RFID and card solutions for the manufacturing, transport and logistics, healthcare, education and retail sectors at Infotel 2013. “Businesses and governments around the world are demanding more visibility and control over their assets, people and transactions as the world’s data continue to increase at an exponential rate. In response to these growing needs, we are seeing an increase in adoption of technologies, such as barcode, RFID and smart cards, that help companies achieve operational efficiency, cost savings and security amidst this data onslaught,” said Zebra’s Head of Card Business and Pre-Sales, India and Subcontinent Ajay Rao. “Sri Lanka is also on the move, with its national plans for biometric identification cards coming to fruition in November this year. Companies in Sri Lanka are also quickly realising that these technologies can also enable them to differentiate themselves from competitors through applications such as instant and personalised issuance of credit cards and loyalty cards. We at Zebra recognise these needs and we will be showcasing how these needs can be met at Infotel,” he added. Together with its partners Crosspoint Business Solutions Ltd. and DB Automation Ltd., Zebra will demonstrate its capabilities for the following industries: Manufacturing/Transport and Logistics: Zebra’s barcode and RFID-enabled solutions, such as warehouse and asset management, logistic labelling and compliance labelling, help businesses track their asset throughout the value chain and achieve greater cost efficiency and business agility. Zebra’s solution portfolio for the manufacturing and transport and logistics sector includes industrial-grade (ZT Series), desktop (GT800) and mobile (EZ320 and iMZ) printers to meet a range of operational needs. Healthcare: The easy-to-use Zebra HC100 patient wristband printers helps healthcare institutes achieve better patient safety by reducing the risk of mistakes in drug administration and ensuring that confidential patient information is protected. Education/Retail: Zebra’s ZXP Series 3 card printers make instant issuance of loyalty cards and ID cards possible, helping education institutions to improve security for students and faculty and enabling retailers to provide customers with value-added services through loyalty card programs that enhance existing CRM strategies. “Zebra is a proven global leader in providing enabling technologies that extend visibility into our customers’ operations for more powerful business intelligence. We are very excited to be able to introduce our range of innovative and reliable technology at Infotel 2013 and we look forward to working with our partners to help organizations in Sri Lanka achieve business growth and enhance individual lives,” said Rao. Infotel 2013 will be held from 24 to 27 October 2013, at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Center.
