Jayomi Lokuliyana, Co-Founder/CEO of Sri Lanka’s pioneering mobile marketing company zMessenger, won Silver Award under the Large Scale category of Woman Entrepreneur Year Awards organised by The Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce (WCIC).

“Just a few years ago, marketing was a very different practice. Current powerful digital tools and updated approaches have transformed the field, merging together long-held marketing and advertising roles to form a new era in customer-centric marketing. With rapidly evolving technology, zMessenger has been making investments in new marketing tech products and services in areas of rich content, location based services, marketing attribution analysis and virtual reality,” stated Lokuliyana.
Lokuliyana has been playing an active role in evangelising entrepreneurship among youth and especially among women in Sri Lanka. There has been many knowledge sharing and mentoring sessions delivered by her in encouraging entrepreneurship across diverse audiences.
She has been a resource person at Disrupt Asia, CIMA Awaken Women, PIMA – Women at Helm, University of Moratuwa Engineering Entrepreneur Mentoring program, SL Google Business Forum, Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum, Genre of Excellence – Women in Management, Rotary Club of Colombo – Guest Lecture on Entrepreneurial Journey to name a few.
Lokuliyana stated: “Women often have unique set of capabilities in nurturing a small start up to a large scale company that may not necessarily conform to the male centric norms in achieving business excellence. However, believing in your abilities, remaining true to yourself and grit are the keys to rising above preconceived expectations towards success.”
