Aditya Resort clinches four medals at Culinary Arts 2013

The culinary team from Aditya Resort bagged four medals at the Culinary Arts 2013 competition which concluded recently.
‘The Battle of the Chefs’, a trade show and culinary competition by the Chefs’ Guild of Sri Lanka, took place at the BMICH and was graced by Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa. The show was open to the public from 2 to 4 August. The main objective of the Chefs’ Guild in hosting this show was to provide a platform for upcoming chefs to display their skill, technique and creativity on one stage.
Keeping with the high standards maintained by this luxury boutique hotel, their culinary team surpassed the competition with Aditya’s popular Executive Chef Namal bagging a bronze medal in the five course, fine dining, sit down meal category, while Demi Chef Indika won a bronze medal for buffet platters with bar tapas. Chef de Partie Amila Eranga and Commis III Sanjeewa won one silver medal each at the live cooking challenge and for a creative rice and curry, three course, sit down meal.
The management of Aditya Resort felicitated Executive Chef Namal and Chefs Indika, Eranga and Sanjeewa at the resort premises in Hikkaduwa in recognition of their efforts.
