The 22nd of April will see over a billion people gather in cinemas worldwide to view a montage of human experiences collected from across the planet in celebration of Earth Day 2012.
‘One Day on Earth’, a film compiled of contributions from ordinary people from almost every country in the world who set out to capture a slice of life will be screened simultaneously in almost every city in the world.
The footage in the film was captured by adults, students, tourists, amateur and professional film makers within 24 hours on the 11.11.11 using mobile phones, cameras as well as professional equipment.
The Sri Lankan leg of the screening will be hosted at the Liberty Cinema, Colombo.
