Always filled with laughter, clinking of glasses and the sound of the surrounding palm trees waving in the wind, the Breeze Bar is located at the back of the Cinnamon Grand, away from all the noise of the bustling city. The main open deck lounge is the larger space and is filled with comfy sofas and plush cushions that cradle you in comfort, while the soft lighting sets the scene for meeting friends after work for happy hour with thirty per cent off all drinks Monday to Thursday. Friday with the hotel’s special promotion, Friday Breeze, there’s a whopping fifty per cent off everything from 5 pm to 8 pm, so one can easily see, why this, is the place to be.

For those in a hurry, there is the bar section, with high stools, where you can have a quick drink or enjoy some great music from 7.30pm onwards.

The bar’s juggler Cheshan Buddhika is a local celebrity keeping everyone captivated as he throws the shakers, mixers and up to five wine bottles through the air simultaneously in a performance that has made him Sri Lanka’s Flairing Champion. The huge numbers that turn up at the weekend to enjoy the exquisite cocktails, live bands and the bar’s tantalising array of finger foods is a testament to why even on the hottest day this is the ‘in’ crowd’s favourite bar.
