False utterances by JVP leader to farmers meeting on kidney disease at Girandurukotte

I wish to bring to the attention of the general public the very low general knowledge of the top rung members of the JVP including its leader Anura Dissanayake, who said few days back at an election rally in support of himself addressing mainly farmers in Girandurukotte that even after 30 years, governments have failed to do justice to the suffering farmers by failing to ascertain the cause of chronic kidney disease that affects the farmers there and the remedy for the same.

It is most unfortunate that a person aspiring to be the elected president of this country goes out uttering such falsehood even without batting an eyelid. It is also most unfortunate that such falsehood is uttered in public audiences to insinuate farmers against the Government by totally misleading them and making them more miserable. Furthermore it is totally strange that a person aspiring to such a high post in the country did not think it fit to ascertain the current status of the causal factor before saying that Government has fully neglected the farmers afflicted with this kidney disease for over 30 years without finding a remedy but no sooner he is elected the president he would do the needful! All these false insinuations are made to mislead the farmer community to get their vote to JVP by hook or crook.

It is already proven by efforts of our own scientists of University Peradeniya and medical professionals of Kandy Teaching Hospital working together, that the causal factor of kidney disease prevailing among farmers and others in Girandurukotte and some other areas of the country, is that having soils originating from fluoride containing minerals gives rise to dug well drinking waters rich in fluoride. The continuous consumption of such waters leads to end organ poisoning by fluoride being a highly toxic oxidative chemical.

The most deleterious effects are on the kidneys because kidneys are the filters that keep the blood in its pristine form.

The well known remedy is to drink potable waters and stop using dug well waters in those areas.

Such ignoramus people who try to come to power by misleading masses who are obviously of very low intelligence should be exposed whenever possible for JVP has used phobia, violence, intimidation, spreading falsehood and strikes as their tools to come to power and to derail most beneficial development projects such as Uma Oya multipurpose power irrigation and agriculture project, etc.

Now its leader is spreading falsehood among sick farmers to make them more miserable by instilling fear in their minds that kidney disease found there has no cure yet under the Government’s power but he will immediately do the needful if elected! When in fact he should have said that your kidney disease is confined to areas having dug wells containing fluoride dissolved water.

Please stop using any water for drinking or preparation of eatables. It is that water which dissolves your kidneys through highly oxidative element fluorine.

The immediate remedy is to use potable water either from a Government installed pipe-borne water system or RO system available in the area.
