Mahinda Rajapaksa
It is rather ironic to read about former President Mahinda Rajapaksa making ridiculous comments about an ongoing judicial inquiry regarding a soldier who was at a present the President’s gathering carrying an illegal firearm.
It is very clear to the public that this incident had taken place about a fortnight ago and a formal inquiry had been carried out and action has been followed in an extremely proper manner.
By trying to defend an action bordering on a lot of suspicion, the former President is no doubt endeavouring to be in the limelight without showing to the public that he is prepared to correct his very blatant misuse of power, corruption and illegal action he along with the few close to him carried out during his tenure.
The public must be watching with disgust his attempts to regain power in this manner.
