With reference to the above news item on Thursday, it is truly shocking and distasteful that the PM utters statements likening an excellent financial newspaper to toilet paper. Professionals and journalists contributing to this journal write with skill and informed knowledge. Both articles gave the reader an insight into the subject. None can be faulted for misrepresenting or exaggerating content. The two articles referred to are well presented with facts and information.
It is imperative that readers gain an understanding of the projects pursued by the Govt. The Right to Information is crucial and a fundamental right. Further, criticism and diverse opinions are a part of democracy.
The mediocre rhetoric and language used by politicians and their blatant lack of common sense and knowledge on most subjects, is a tragedy indeed.
Thank goodness for the high calibre of knowledge and information available in the Daily FT. It is a pleasure to read this journal.
I must bring to the attention of the PM that the price of a roll of toilet paper far exceeds that of the Daily FT.
