Ravi Karunanayake, the current Finance Minister, is claiming that he revived a dead economy. What a joke. The economy was doing well anyway under Rajapaksa. Whatever he may say, there was stability and direction during MR’s tenure.
Half the business community was upset when Ravi Karunanayake was appointed Finance Minister. His track record prior to his appointment speaks volumes. What is his achievement as the Finance Minister? Giving jobs in the banks? Being part of a controversial bond – a huge slur on the UNP? The mismanagement at Insurance?
Ravi Karunanayake should do a survey of his conduct and performance then he will know where he stands. Whom is he trying to fool with such unsubstantiated statements? It is better for him to change his slogan without becoming a joke. There are over 30% in our population who are internet savvy and they will destroy his credibility when he makes such a statement.
